CORKER: GOP WON’T REPEAL OBAMACARE

Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) recently told a group of high-dollar GOP donors that Senate Republicans would not move to fully repeal President Obama’s health care law next year, according to multiple sources who attended the event.

The junior senator from Tennessee told the gathering of donors not to worry about the incoming class of “crazier Republicans” because the majority of Senate Republicans, especially minority leader Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), had no intention of repealing the president’s health care bill.  They instead planned to fix only the “bad parts” of the law, Corker reportedly told the group.

Republicans are going to become a weak third party if leadership is not evident. There are those like me that are tired of the less-passionate attitude and the ability to go forward. How can we accept a bill that is over 2000 pages long, we don’t know who created it, nor no one has bothered to read. REPEAL the damn thing and start over; YOU KNOW WHAT THE NEEDS OF THIS COUNTRY ARE…it doesn’t take a rocket scientist….but, by-golly, get something done for a change. We pay you enought don’t we?

  2. LASunsett says:

I say that McConnell’s leadership position should go to someone else, whether the GOP retakes the Senate, or not.

  3. Susan says:

I will be calling Corker’s office. I am very disappointed in him. There is NOTHING to FIX in the bill,it’s all bad. It needs to be REPEALED….PERIOD. And nothing’s crazier than this healthcare bill.

  4. josh says:

then the rinos will be gone in 2012

  5. E Smith says:

The entire Obama Care Package needs to be repealed not just parts of it.

Remember who voted for you and those who will be voting in the up coming election. We, The People!!!

  6. R J Olson says:

The craziest Republicans are ones that think we are going away and letting Washington go back to the same business as usual that has brought us to the brink of losing our Republic. Mitch McConnel has proven that he is NO leader that is up to the job we want done and has to go. What really gets me though, is the fact that they are comfortable talking like this and thinking we won’t care. These people are despicable! We have a lot of work ahead but we are patriots and they are scum!

  7. MsDollie says:

Senator Corker has no idea how motivated his assertions make me and all those newely engaged citizens like me.

No walking it back, no compromise, failure is not an option. Defund it, obstruct all attempts to “improve” it and then REPEAL IT!

  8. Duane Dorman says:

    Bridget,
I completely agree with you. It is time for the Republican Party to remember that they are supposed to be the party of no. No, we will not accept a budget deficit that quadruples in six months, no we will not accept weaker national security, no we will not accept the government taking over every aspect of American life. It is time for the RINO’s to go, all of them and elect real conservatives. Conservatives like Bob Jindahl, or Sara Palin. fools like Obama need to be taken to the woodshed and sent packing. Start with Princess Harry and Miss America Pelosi.

  9. Duane Dorman says:

    Bridgette,
In addition to my other comments, no, we will not accept ten percent unemployment.

  10. Scott says:

Jim Demint is a voice in the Senate against attitudes like this. I can see why he’s taking the Liberals AND Rinos head on rather than beating around the bushes.

  11. richard hodgens says:

What IS the Republican Proposal for Medical Care?

They have been being asked this question for nearly 30 years and all they can respond with is, “They’re AGAINST the Democrats…. version.”

Until they can present an alternative, I am FORCED to support “ObamaCARE”! Thanks, Barack (b in the State of HI) OBAMA for doing SOMETHING besides sitting on your fat thumbs.
