Apparently, the union disdain of former President Bill Clinton for his signing the North American Free Trade Agreement two decades ago has been overcome.
On Friday, the AFT posted a video of a press conference at AFL-CIO headquarters that was given under the auspices of announcing a commitment to creating ‘green jobs.’
As part of that commitment, the AFL-CIO’s Trumka announced that the AFL-CIO will be retrofitting its Washington, DC headquarters and creating 30,000 hours of work for union workers.
While 30,000 hours does sound impressive, it equates to a mere six months worth of work for roughly 30 union workers–or one year’s worth of work for 15 union workers.
Of course, this does not include any cost overruns.
