A Panama City police officer and negotiator for the Teamsters Local 991 was terminated from the department after pornographic photos and videos were discovered on his office computer, according to police documents.

Michael Dennis Rozier, a PCPD investigator and a part of the department since August 2004, was fired Oct. 8 following a nearly two-month investigation. The investigation was sparked when a fellow detective notified supervisors about images of nude females and a nude male stored on Rozier’s police department-owned computer. Rozier was suspended with pay from the department on Aug. 13, pending the outcome of the investigation, according to an internal investigation report.

Rozier’s computer was seized the same day. Lt. Kevin Miller, who was assigned the internal investigation, reported he discovered 65 digital photos and 13 video clips of nude adults in a desktop file marked “New Folder,” according to the investigative report.

Miller reported that Rozier stored the images on his work computer for about eight months. During that time, while on duty, he “bragged to other detectives in open forum about the images” and displayed the images to other detectives in the office.
