Not letting a union dues crisis go to waste, AFL-CIO boss *hearts* Scott Walker

Never mind that the issue in Wisconsin has been about public unions’ ability to game the system. Forget the fact that union-supporting thugs are threatening to kill GOP lawmakers and their families while the President launches an anti-bullying campaign, union bosses are using the Battle of Wisconsin as a means of drumming up support for the 2012 buildup.

The ability to coordinate with the DNC’s OFA and other Left-wing radicals to conduct massive rallies has breathed new life into the otherwise moribund union bosses’ campaign to transform America—so much so that AFL-CIO boss Richard Trumka was thanking Wisconsin governor Scott Walker on Thursday:

The head of the largest federation of unions in the United States, AFL-CIO President Richard L. Trumka, jokingly thanked Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker Thursday for igniting an impassioned debate on workers’ rights.

“Well, thank you, Scott Walker,” Trumka said during a speech in Washington, DC to the group Campaign for America’s Future. “We should have invited him here today to receive the Mobilizer of the Year award! Because Gov. Walker’s over-reaching has brought us to this moment to talk about jobs. This is the debate we’ve wanted to have. Well, guess what? Suddenly the debate came to us, and we’re winning.”

“In your lifetime, have you ever seen this much solidarity, this much excitement, this much activism?” he continued. “As progressives, it is our job to transform the outrage and make this moment a movement – to ensure that this corruption in the Midwest does not stand.”

Chicago’s new mayor Rahm Emanuel only famously advised ‘never let a good crisis go to waste.’  Despite his recent anti-public sector union tone, union bosses are not wasting any time in following Rahm’s advice.

“I bring reason to your ears, and, in language as plain as ABC, hold up truth to your eyes.” Thomas Paine, December 23, 1776

  1. Speaking of Union corruption, in the midst of all these “saving job” campaigns, most people are not aware of the UBC Internationals most recent attempt to cannibalize it’s own organization by seizing all the assets in the Pacific Northwest Council. At the end of January 2011, the PNWRCC- EST/CFO Doug Tweedy decided to seize 15 local affiliates in Oregon, Idaho, Montana and soon 10 more in Washington state.
With virtually no notice given to the rank and file membership, they came in with their “UBC International Crews” and locked out the officers, staff, and members from their own affiliates. Only after the process was completed was notification sent out to the members that their physical assets, accounts and heritage had been swept beyond their reach. With this seize came an end to the era of rank and file participation. The process: no union halls, no officers, no delegates and most importantly, no votes! The UBC rank and file has now become the impotent voice of the dues paying force of “power” that the teachers working union so brashly gloated over. Despite articles in the local newspapers and demands for more information as to the use of all this new found wealth now imparted on the Pacific NW council, lips are sealed as tight as the doors of the now vacant halls. As a tax-paying citizen, I want to know where the government authorities are when all these covert transactions are taking place? These are supposedly “non-profit“ and non-tax paying organizations. Imagine how much income tax could be paid to the IRS on 20-30 million dollars in assets. Or does the current administration turn its back on that kind of “bullying” as well. And what of the OPEIU/afl-cio office staff contracts that were broken and ignored by both organizations? What happened to the trust placed in local Charters that are many decades old? These are now dissolved as though they were mere pieces of paper to be thrown in the fire. You see in the world of Unions, there are Government Laws and Union Laws. Ne’er the twain shall meet.

  2. Union bosses are constantly using the term, “corporation,” as if they were naming a Jurassic Park monster. They speak of corporate greed and fat-cat corporate executives. But corporations are accountable not only to their shareholders (often union pension fund investors) but they are also accountable to the IRS and the SEC. Union bosses, on the other hand, are not accountable to anyone – least of all their own rank and file members. Transfers of local assets to regional or national balance sheets is nothing less than robbery. What is done with this financial windfall? Does it just help finance more political contributions to democrats? Does it shore up mismanagement of pension plans? Follow the money and you’ll see corruption on a grand scale.

  3. Nice Union hating site!!!! The american workers hate you and your ability to earn a living too!In fact we hate your japanese cars and prostitute wives as well. In fact, maybe we should build a Union made grave from a Union made shovel and throw you ain a Union made hole wearing a union made blanket wrapped in a Union made flag you F***** retards….
