OSHKOSH – Workers at Oshkosh’s Hoffmaster Corp. have rejected a fourth contract offer from the company.

Company officials say a strike has been authorized by the union but apparently has not yet started.

The company has said it wants concessions from about 400 United Steelworkers Local 2-169 workers to match changes for 1,000 other non-union workers.

Hoffmaster President Jeff Miller declined an on-camera interview, however he did issue a press release stating, “We are disappointed that the union has rejected a very fair contract offer. Over a month ago, a complete tentative agreement was reached with the help of a federal mediator. The union agreed to give that agreement their full support, but then failed to do so.”
