CODE Seeks To Recover Assets Bought With Union Money

CINCINNATI — The union that represents middle managers who work for the city of Cincinnati has sued its former president.

CODE, the Cincinnati Organization and Dedicated Employees, filed suit against Diana Frey, who was indicted last week on a wire fraud charge.

The indictment alleges that Frey embezzled $757,000 from the union by depositing money from union accounts into her own.

  1. They certainly should sue, not that they should expect to recover any, or even most, of it. They can probably won’t even recover enough to cover legal fees.

    Interesting that all these hundreds of union members allowed the same person to keep running the organization for so long (more than SIX [6] years), apparently without anything close to the checks and balances that they demand of the private sector and their employer (the City of Cincinnati).
