The Heritage Foundation’s Lachlan Markay posted an update about the eviction of #OccupDC from McPherson Square on Monday afternoon. At the time of Markay’s post, the eviction had not yet occurred. However, in preparation for the eviction, Markay had this interesting tidbit:
In preparation for the impending police operation, occupiers loaded moving trucks with belongings, which they said were bound for the AFL-CIO’s Washington headquarters. The union has provided extensive support for the group, allowing them to bathe in their building, and even taking out Internet advertisements to promote the protests.
Apparently, with union membership down to historic lows, the union federation has plenty of room to house its newest members.
