After blasting corporations at a Nevada union hall, Joe Biden attended a fundraiser hosted by MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren who is laying off employees to boost earnings.

HENDERSON, NV—Former Vice President Joe Biden was on the campaign train in Nevada on Tuesday.

In Henderson he told a small crowd at the Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local 159 Union Hall that he believes the Nevada legislature’s push to raise the state’s minimum wage is inadequate.

“I know your Legislature is working to raise the minimum wage, but I think it’s long past $12. I think it’s long past time it should be $15 an hour across the United States of America,” Biden told the crowd.

In addition to raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, Biden supported affordable housing, closing tax loopholes, and rolling back the tax cuts Trump and Republicans passed in 2017 that Biden said overwhelmingly helped the wealthy and corporations, reported the Nevada Current.

“Wall Street, bankers, hedge fund managers, they did not build this country, you built this country,” stated Biden.

Following his visit to the IUPAT union hall, Biden attended a fundraiser hosted by MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren.

Last month, MGM Resorts International announced layoffs in a cost-cutting operational shift as it aims to boost earnings, the “vast majority in Las Vegas.”

In related news, a woman at the IUPAT rally shouted: ‘You can come and kiss me anytime, Joe!’
