So, the Amnesty-Loving UFCW Supports Arizona’s SB 1070 Now?

In Las Vegas, the Nutroots Nation* conference is going on.

On Friday, the UFCW hosted a panel discussion over “immigration reform” (aka Amnesty for Illegals) that featured the UFCW’s Mark Lauritsen (see video below), Arizona State Rep. Kyrsten Sinema and a couple of others.

As the Obama Administration has (with the backing of the entire union movement, including the UFCW) sued the state of Arizona under the guise that the U.S. can’t have all the states enacting their own laws, one of the comments from the panel seemingly sided with Arizona’s SB 1070:

Lauritsen first turned to state Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) who gave her take on S.B. 1070, Arizona’s anti-immigration law. Sinema described it as misguided. The lesson Sinema takes from Arizona is that if Congress doesn’t act, those who want comprehensive immigration reform must respond proactively with localized legislation rather than waiting for federal action. Immigration reform is a problem that needs a federal solution, but Sinema argues that we cannot wait.

Arizona chose not to wait which is what Sinema indicates is what is necessary. That’s quite a switch from backing the government’s suit against Arizona to now siding with Arizona’s legal argument…especially for a legislator who, just a few years ago pushed to have Arizona’s Minutemen charged as domestic terrorists.

Hypocrisy, it seems, comes with a union label these days as unions and their allies always seem to want to have their cake and eat it too.  Or, maybe, Ms. Sinema has just been spending too much time in the sun.  However, as a candidate now for Arizona State Senate, Ms. Sinema may want to figure out whether she’s for Arizona and its laws, or against it.

*Nutroots Nation is that annual pilgrimage of unions and other whacko leftists who converge once a year to plot on how to “transform” America back to the stone age under the banner of “progressivism” through the blogosphere.
