Jobs in our state might be in high demand, but there are positions employers can’t seem to fill.

At Lindquist Machine Corporation in Ashwaubenon, president and CEO Mark Kaiser just added about a dozen skilled machinists to his staff.

Kaiser says he wants to hire 10 to 15 more people here — machinists, welders, and assemblers — but at this point he can’t find the qualified applicants.

  1. I would hire 3 people today if I could. Unemployment in my area is 16%. I get about 4 applications per week. Those apps come from people who have finally run out of unemployment benefits.
