While labor unions and illegal immigrants may love her, job creators are less than enthralled with her demonization of businesses.

Nevertheless, her attacks on companies is probably what prompted the Los Angeles Unified School District to name a new high school after Obama’s labor secretary, Hilda Solis.

From the Department of Labor’s June 30th newsletter:

The Los Angeles Board of Education recently voted to rename the East Los Angeles Star Academy in the L.A. Unified School District in honor of Secretary Solis, in recognition of her contributions to public education, environmental conservation and protection, and humanitarian and civil rights efforts. The high school, currently under construction, will be called the Hilda L. Solis Learning Academy. “Secretary Solis has a powerful personal story of hard work. Her achievements in public service make her an excellent role model for our students,” said Board Member Yolie Flores, who represents the district where the school is located.
