Wapakoneta union officials forced to pay back embezzled money

TOLEDO — A pair of former union officials have been ordered to serve five years probation and to pay restitution for embezzling money from United Steelworkers Local 982 in Wapakoneta, according to court documents.
Federal prosecutors said Stacy Sacks, 37, of Lakeview, and Timothy Fisher, 33, of St. Marys, stole more than $24,000 from the union between 2007 and 2009, according to documents from the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio in Toledo.
