On Violence, Death Threats & Feces, Unions Pass Their Trade Secrets On To #OWS

Throwing Tantrums, Death Threats & Bodily Fluids Is Part Of The Playbook

On September 17th, when the #OccupyWallSt movement took over Zuccotti Park, one of New York’s finest summed it up when he said, “these are the protesters no one else wants–they’re the worst of worst.

Since then, however, Democrats, the Obama administration and, especially, unions have all put their support behind the #OccupyMovement depsite (as noted previously) the multiple rapes, the assaults and drug dealingopen sexpublic masturbation,  anti-American rants, and violence From almost the very beginning, unions were eager to jump on board with the Neo-Communist squatters, their anti-Semites and their useful idiots in lower Manhattan’s Zuccotti Park. Since then, unions have paid for protesters, water, food, legal fees, and advertising.

With Democrats now saying the #OWS message will be the message of  their 2012 campaign, the first question should be: Do Democrats, the Obama administration and unions really, really want to hitch their wagons to this carnival-like freak show? Especially with stories like this one becoming an almost everyday occurrence [via CBS Los Angeles]:

Coffee cart owner Linda Jenson and hot dog cart operators Letty and Pete Soto said they initially provided free food and drink to demonstrators, but when they stopped, the protesters became violent.

And according to one city councilman, bodily fluids were used in the attacks.

Both carts have had items stolen, have had their covers vandalized with markings and graffiti, as well as one of the carts had urine and blood splattered on it,” said Councilman Carl DeMaio.

The damages will likely require at least a complete cleaning if not a replacement of the cart covers, DeMaio said.

In addition to the attacks, the vendors also said they recently received death threats. [Emphasis added.]

Once you put the above story into context (free lunch ends, temper tantrums ensue), the question of whether or not the Democrats, the Obama administration and unions want to hitch themselves to the #OWS wagon becomes a moot point: They are the wagon and #OWS is their progeny.

The #OWS movement, despite their nifty little Guy Fawkes masks, mind-numbingly stupid twinkles, and borrowed chants are deploying the very tactics Democrats, the Obama administration and, especially, unions not only condone, but have used themselves for decades.

The Ends Justify The Means. It’s become predictable ritual for the professional Left (see ACORN, unions, and Democrats) to use whatever means necessary (from Alinsky tactics to death threats and feces throwing) whenever they do not get their way and, of late, to actually advance their Marxist agenda.

Whether it is in the public-sector, where so many states have indebted generations of taxpayers to their government unions, to the private sector, the same worn-out  tactics the Marxists (both inside and outside the labor movement) have used for over 100 years are the tactics of the #OWS movement are using.

Occupations? See 1936-1937 Flint sit-down strikes.

Violence? See 1886 and the Haymarket Square Riot.

Most remember when Nancy Pelosi “worried” about violence from the Tea Party movement, yet Pelosi remains grossly quiet over the false imprisonment, violence, and even child endangerment that the #OccupyDC protesters engaged in this past weekend. Then again, Pelosi’s and her Congressional cronies on the Left are supported by (and funded) by the same groups (including unions) that fund the #OccupyDC protesters, so Pelosi’s hypocrisy really is not all that surprising.

Did we mention the poop?

Over the last decade or so, the penchant for using poop in protests seems to have become a must-do among the loony Left, ergo the #OWS’ defecation on bankson doorsteps, and on squad cars.

Still, no one mixes violence and body fluids quite like President Obama’s self-proclaimed “army,” as illustrated in this 2003 NLRB settlement with the Teamsters:

WE WILL NOT brandish or carry any weapon of any kind, including, but not limited to, guns, knives, slingshots, rocks, ballbearings, liquid-filled balloons or other projectiles, sledge hammers, bricks, sticks, or two by fours at or near any picket line, handbilling effort, rally or in any vehicle engaged in ambulatory picketing of any Overnite vehicle or following the privatevehicle of any Overnite employee.

WE WILL NOT use or threaten to use a weapon of any kind, including but not limited to guns, knives, slingshots, rocks, ballbearings, liquid-filled balloons or other projectiles, picket signs, sticks, sledge hammers, bricks, hot coffee, bottles, two by fours, lit cigarettes, eggs, or bags or balloons filled with excrement against any non-striking Overnite employee or security guard in the presence any Overnite employee.

[snip]

WE WILL NOT threaten to kill or inflict bodily harm, make throat slashing motions, make gun pointing motions, challengeor threaten to fight or assault employees, threaten to sexually assault non-striking employees or their family members, threaten to follow non-striking employees to their homes, use racial epithets or obscene gestures at non-striking employees or otherwise threaten unspecified reprisals on any non-striking employee of Overnite or any member of his or her family or any employee of a neutral employee doing business with Overnite, or on any security guard, supervisor or manager ofOvernite or neutral employers doing business with Overnite in the presence of employees.

Now, granted, this is nearly a decade ago, but have their behaviors improved?

During the recent Verizon strike, a New Jersey judge ordered unions strikers not to drop, spread, throw, place or otherwise cause nails, glass, cinder block, spikes, feces, clubs, rocks, screws, or puncture devices of any kind, or other object or debris to be thrown or strewn in, on, or about Verizon’s driveways, parking lots, entrances, exits, vehicles and adjoining roads to any of Verizon’s property or at any work site.

Then, there was the lesser, but equally disgusting, case of the Canadian Steelworkers’ official charged with throwing feces on a legislator’s roof.

Death threats have also been part of the Left-wing playbook. Earlier this year, in Madison, death threats against lawmakers were barely covered by the unionized mainstream media, just as the media has been largely silent on the death threats by #OWS protesters.

It seems, in building their faux alternative to the Tea Party, the Left is really not presenting anything new. In fact, as disturbing as the actions are by the #OccupyMovement, they really are just the same old tactics with a new mask.
