This is going on in Illinois, too. I am a caregiver for my quadriplegic son and I have about $30 taken from each of my semi-monthly payments; this is called a non member fee. I did not have to join the union but I have to pay the non member fees. This is in the contract that I had to sign in order to receive reimbursement for my son’s care.
It bothers me that my money is going for political positions that I do not endorse.
