Orwellian Newspeak? An Ohio Op-Ed Compares Right-to-Work To Slavery

You know Orwelliam newspeak has caught on in America’s editorial board rooms when you read lines like these put forth in an op-ed in the fairly obscure newspaper the Cleveland Plan Dealer:

Meanwhile, an outfit named Ohioans for Workplace Freedom wants voters to sign petitions to place House Joint Resolution 5 directly on Ohio’s ballot. (Claiming Right to Work is about workplace freedom is like calling a slave owner a job creator.) [Emphasis added.]

For an editor to publish an op-ed comparing people choosing whether or not to pay union dues to slavery shows why America’s newspapers are failing.
