Back in 2011, we posted the top chart as a means of showing the public the truth about unions’ so-called job security in the manufacturing industry.
In 2010, according to UnionStats.com, manufacturing employed a total of 13,251,800 Americans.
At the end of 2012, that number increased to 13,935,900.
However, while union-free manufacturing gained over 750,000 jobs, unions lost another 83,000 union jobs.
No wonder union bosses consider themselves “in crisis.”
