The union contract for 24,000 full-time workers at Walt Disney World is expiring next month and workers are holding a rally Monday in support of their union’s negotiating committee.
The contract for Disney’s two largest Unions, Unite Here Local 737 and Unite Here Local 362, expire on March 29. The unions represent housekeepers, custodians, ride operators and food and beverage workers.
On Monday Disney employees will hold a rally beginning at 5 p.m. at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel located at 1900 North Buena Vista Drive in Lake Buena Vista.
Meanwhile, the Magic Kingdom is increasing ticket prices.
