A former treasurer of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees allegedly stole $30,000 from his union and was placed on trial by his union—and, apparently, found guilty.
The question is, however: Where are the criminal charges?

The former treasurer for a union that represents employees at six state prisons embezzled more than $30,000 from that union, according to a recent union Judicial Panel ruling obtained by the Journal Inquirer.
The former treasurer, Todd Sokolowski, a correctional officer and a resident of Stafford, should be suspended from seeking or holding any elected office within the union for four years, according to a 10-page ruling issued on May 13 by Richard Gollin, a member of the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees union’s Judicial Panel.
Gollin also ruled that Sokolowski should be removed from his position as treasurer for AFSCME Local 391, but Sokolowski resigned on March 31 unbeknownst to the Judicial Panel. He had served as treasurer for more than 10 years.
