Well, this may put a damper on any current union organizing campaigns the SEIU has entrusted to one (possible) lead organizer.
While patrolling around the Rath Building in downtown Buffalo, a deputy asked Donna Campagna, a SEIU 1199 Union Organizer from Rochester, to move her vehicle, but the 58-year-old refused.
The deputy exited his vehicle to speak with her and noticed her driver’s side mirror was missing, prompting him to initiate a traffic stop.
The sheriff’s office says Campagna was driving on an active suspension prohibiting her from driving, and that inside her vehicle the deputy found three suboxone packages, three oxycodone pills, a scale with white powder residue covering it and crack cocaine.
Campagna was taken into custody and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a vehicle equipment violation. [Emphasis added.]
Note: Although news source WIVB states that Ms. Campagna is a union organizer, the Center for Union Facts lists her title as a ‘lead organizer’ (in 2005).
