April has not been a good month for the International Association of Machinists.

On top of having the National Mediation Board referring fraudulently-signed authorization cards at Delta Air Lines to the Justice Department, as well as unceremoniously withdrawing from an election to unionize Boeing’s workers in South Carolina, a National Labor Relations Board judge has just ruled that the union violated the law by threatening a dissident union member with bodily harm, as well as unlawfully causing his firing.

  • By attempting to cause and causing the Company to discharge Ryan Kastens and Jarrod Lehmanon February 14, 2014, because of their dissident union activity and/or other protected concerted activities, the Union violated Section 8(b)(1)(A)and (2).
  • By threatening to cause bodily harm to Kastens on April 11, 2014,and impede his efforts to obtain reinstatementbecause he engaged in protected concerted activities, the Union, by Howard Johnson, violated Section 8(b)(1)(A).
  • By discriminatorily and/or arbitrarily processing Kastens’ outstanding grievances against the Company, the Union violated Section 8(b)(1)(A).

  1. How embarrassing and true are the thug tactics of IAM District 70 in Wichita, Kansas which is led by the biggest thug of all…DBR Frank Molina. This is just the tip of the iceberg in the corruption of the IAM from Thomas Buffenbarger all the way down to the local lodges nationwide.
