Michigan was the last state that passed a Right-To-Work law.[/caption]In April, the National Labor Relations Board signaled that it may be trying to water down Right-to-Work laws by considering whether or not unions should be allowed charge non-members so-called “fair share fees.”
Fair share fees are moneys charged to non-members who may utilize the union’s services for grievance processing.
While their are points to be made on both sides of this debate, on Wednesday, Congressional Republicans held a hearing to further explore the NLRB’s intent.
