Ford Worker On The UAW: ‘They are a business. They profit off of us.’

Among the challenges facing the UAW after its Nissan loss and current corruption probe, is a lack of confidence from rank-and-file members.

As the UAW faces a crisis in the media over its recent failure to unionize Nissan workers, as well as its corruption scandal involving kickbacks, it appears that the UAW is also facing a plethora of internal issues within its union ranks, according to WSWS.org:

A worker with only a few years until retirement at the Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP) in Wayne responded bitterly to the reports of federal indictments of UAW negotiators. “[Former UAW president] Bob King got out before his ass was on the line,” he said. “They are a business. They profit off of us.”
