Well, this has all the makings of a rather cozy relationship:
About 20 legal professionals at McTeague, Higbee, Case, Cohen, Whitney and Toker have joined the International Association of Machinists.
Paralegals and other legal professionals at a Topsham law firm have formed a union. The International Association of Machinists – or IAM – has negotiated an agreement with legal professionals at McTeague, Higbee, Case, Cohen, Whitney & Toker.
According to the firm’s website, the Maine law firm represents unions and is “proud” that their employees are unionized:
For over 30 years, our lawyers have stood beside employees and their labor unions. We have represented thousands of individual employees. We have a long history of representing the Maine AFL-CIO, the Maine State Building and Construction Trades Council, and the Maine and New Hampshire state employee associations. We are honored to work with our employees who are members of the International Association of machinists and Aerospace Workers.
