  1. How many of these funds let Goldman Sachs,, Northern Trust, Wells Fargo, et.al. manage their funds? According to The International Business Times that is a major part of the problem. Repeal Kline/Miller.

  2. This all began when Republicans were able to push union busting requirements that entailed massive and expensive paperwork requirements on all multi-employer plans. At the same time, the USPS was singled out and required to prefund unfunded liabilities at a back breaking pace. The subsequent cutbacks in service and personnel is a direct result of the union busting tactics of the right-wing radical tea party Republicans. Absent these payments, USPS would have posted a profit of more than $1 billion in 2013.
It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our local union officers and the UA National Pension Fund directors that we remain in good shape.

    • sidney you have been brainwashed if you believe any one politacal party is responsible for our current situation. I had forty years watching UPCLOSE new york city labor unions before retiring and its all our faults. Profits fuel production and thats a sad truth.without profits no one will invest in more business and we have for years supported profit killing incentives. I watched it I was there.
There should be NO unions where taxpayer dollars are spent and we have indeed killed the goose that laid the golden egg by strangling any free market we had…radical right wing???? because they want our constitution enforced? men free to buy or sell or own private property without govt interference?? interference from govt has been our downfall. pre fund an unfunded liability???can you read your own words?

  3. The problem is we as union members were led to believe a was well and we trusted the wrong people with our hard earned money . I wish we could make the people who managed or miss managed our funds pay the price for this. We also should push for more Union shops
