Miami Beach and Communication Workers of America at impasse

Negotiations between the Communications Workers of America union and the City of Miami Beach have reached an impasse.
The city has placed the contract negotiations in the hands of an independent adjuticator. Miami Beach sent a letter to the Florida Public Employee Relations Commission declaring negotiations at an impasse and requesting a special magistrate to help mediate negotiations.
The Communications Workers of American and Miami Beach have been working on a contract for three years. The city and the union had come to a verbal agreement but Richard McKinnon has not agreed to the contract and so it is at an impasse.
