Dozens of UNITE-HERE protesters were arrested outside American Airlines’ headquarters as negotiations with their food catering employers drag on.
FT. WORTH, TX—Union protesters affiliated with UNITE-HERE protested outside American Airlines’ headquarters on Tuesday morning to protest for higher wages.
The union protesters are not employed by American Airlines, but by airline catering companies, LSG Sky Chef and Gate Gourmet.
Their union, UNITE-HERE is in contract talks with the catering companies and is demanding $15 an hour.
According to CBS DFW News, 58 protesters were arrested.
